Mavs vs. Kings: Poetry in Motion
By James "King"
Kung
Recount the tale of that wild night
That glorious battle, that gruesome fight
Between a broken King and a wild white horse
Left only to fate to determine its course
The King, weary from defending his lands,
Had a twisted ankle and two broken hands.
The horse, meanwhile, healthy as can be,
Looked down at the battered lord with glee
Remembering that dark night one month prior
When the noble King with a sword of fire
Had defeated the horse in such dramatic fashion,
As to forever wound his pride and passion.
Thus, with vengeance in mind, and taking no heed,
He charged at the broken King at full speed
The fearless King, feet planted firmly in place,
Struck the charging horse square in the face.
The horse, fuming with rage, counterattacked
And planted his hooves into the King's back.
The King turned around with fire in his eyes,
Determined to bring about the horse's demise.
Blow for blow, and bite for bite,
The battle ensued, with no end in sight
But in the end, when all is said and done,
In the end, there can only be one.
Bruised, bloodied, battered and beaten
The King and the horse were still dead even
'Til that beautiful moment, with nothing to spare
His Royal Highness jumped high in the air
With the eyes of the devil and the strength of a hound
He slammed the horse straight into the ground.
This final blow marked the end of the bout,
As the wild white horse had been justly knocked out.
The once wild Maverick had finally been tamed
To the noble King, he will now be claimed.
Just a lesson to all who cross the King's path:
He may be injured, but he can still kick some ass!
