BONE COLLECTOR CHALLENGES BRYANT AND IVERSON TO $50,000 ONE-ON-ONE STREET BALL GAMES
InsideHoops.com has been given the following information:
Street basketball legend Larry “Bone Collector” Williams, who stars in the DVD “Entertainer’s Basketball Classic At Rucker Park: The Second Season,” has challenged two of the NBA’s greatest players – Los Angeles Laker Kobe Bryant and Philadelphia 76er Allen Iverson – to individual $50,000 winner-take-all games of one-on-one basketball, with the loser giving his money to the winner’s favorite charity.
During a lengthy recent interview on Fox Sports’ “Best Damn Sports Show Period,” Bone Collector threw down his challenge to Iverson. He followed up with a combustible Q&A on one of the country’s biggest hip-hop stations, L.A.’s Power 106, where he made his offer to Bryant. Bryant and Iverson, along with numerous other NBA stars, are featured on “Entertainer’s Basketball Classic” (released March 4 on MELEE Entertainment), which also boasts the best street basketball players in the world.
Street ball has gained national exposure over the past few years, but a challenge like this has never been laid down. The question is: Will Kobe and Allen dodge perhaps the greatest street player out there, or will they rise to the challenge?
