2018

The BIG3, a summer pro 3-on-3 basketball league featuring former NBA players, returns in 2018 for its second season. The entire league -- every team -- plays one game per week. The BIG3 2018 summer season will be eight weeks of regular season play and two weeks of playoffs. So, although it's called a league, it's essentially a weekly event, taking place in a different city each week. So, the BIG3 is a traveling 3-on-3 basketball tour just as much as it's a league. Nothing bad about that!
One huge change for BIG 3's 2018 summer season is, games will be shown live on FOX Broadcast Network and FS1 all season long. Last year, in the inaugural season, the championship finals were live, but everything else was shown on tape delay a full day later.
And in other BIG3 news, sometime in March, 2018 BIG3 commissioner Roger Mason was fired. For now, as of mid March, co-founder Ice Cube is the league's new commissioner. It sounds like the league will seek a replacement. We'll update this page with any developments.
Many of last season's players are returning for the summer of 2018. As for new BIG3 players, Baron Davis, Metta World Peace, Nate Robinson, Amar'e Stoudemire and Glen "Big Baby" Davis are all on board.
InsideHoops.com will provide a season preview with rosters and more, and we'll have weekly coverage once the 2018 season begins.

2017 BIG3 PREVIEW
The BIG3 basketball league, the new three-on-three league founded by Ice Cube, will begin in the summer of 2017. Although it's being called a league -- and we'll call it that as well -- it's really more of a weekly tour. The BIG3 plays once per week, in a different city each week. There are eight teams, all of which will play one game at each event. The first eight weeks are the regular season. The final two weeks are the playoffs. So, it's really more of a 10-week 3-on-3 basketball tour. But it's new and interesting, so we'll check it out.
The BIG3 season begins June 25 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. The other regular season weekly city locations are Charlotte, Philadelphia, Tulsa, Nashville, Dallas, Lexington (Kentucky) and Los Angeles. The BIG3 Playoffs begin in Seattle on Aug. 20. The champions will be crowned in Las Vegas on Aug. 26.
On Sunday, April 30, 2017 the BIG3 had their first-ever draft, which established the league's complete rosters. They are listed below.
