Rockets guard Chris Paul on minutes restriction

The Rockets will go as far as James Harden will take them. But other players on the team matter too. Like veteran point guard Chris Paul, who recently returned from injury.

Although CP3 is a key part of the team, he's past his prime, still a quality player, but must increasingly worry about his health. The Rockets know this, so Paul for now is on a minutes restriction. At least for these first few games back.

"We have to do it that way," said Rockets coach Mike D'Antoni to the Houston Chronicle. "I don't think Chris enjoys that. I think he's rather stay in and play. But we need to be cautious the next couple weeks. He'll eventually get back up to 30, 31 minutes."

The Rockets are also making due without center Clint Capela. They recently added Kenneth Faried, who was riding the bench in Brooklyn. In his first four games, Faried has been excellent.
