Houston Rockets center Clint Capela is having an excellent and very much-improved season for his 21-4 squad. Here are some team notes on his production, through games of December 12, 2017:

• Averaging career-highs of 13.7 points, 11.0 rebounds and 1.80 blocks in just 25.1 minutes per game… he is on pace to become the first player in NBA history to average at least 13.0 ppg and 11.0 rpg in fewer than 26.0 mpg in a single season.

• Ranks first in the NBA in field goal percentage (.677), seventh in rebounding (11.0 rpg) and fifth in blocks (1.80 bpg).

• Has recorded 14 double-doubles in 25 games played this season after having 15 in 65 games played in 2016-17.

• Has scored 20+ points five times this season, including a career-high 28 points 13-of-14 shooting in 24 minutes of play vs. New Orleans on 12/9, after doing so seven times in 2016-17.

• Has grabbed 15+ rebounds five times this season after doing so once prior in his career.

• Has recorded 3+ blocks nine times this season after doing so six times in 2016-17.

• Shooting 60.8% from the line this season, up from 53.1% in 2016-17, 37.9% in 2015-16, and 17.4% as a rookie in 2014-15.
