The Golden State Warriors have placed guard Derek Fisher on the injured list with a sprained right knee, Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations Chris Mullin announced prior to this evening's game versus the Charlotte Bobcats. In a related move, the team also activated guard Luis Flores from the injured list.

Fisher has averaged 9.6 points, 2.1 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 24.4 minutes per contest in 19 games this season, including three starts. The ninth-year guard, who signed with the Warriors as a free agent on July 16, 2004, currently ranks 15th in the NBA in free throw percentage (.895) and 19th in the league in assist-to-turnover ratio (3.12). He scored a season-high 23 points at Dallas on November 8, marking his first 20-plus point effort since April 6, 2003 versus Phoenix, while a member of the Los Angeles Lakers.

Flores has missed the first 19 games of the season after being placed on the injured list on November 1 due to a strained right hamstring. Acquired by Golden State from Dallas as part of an eight-player trade on August 24, 2004, the 23-year-old guard has yet to play in an NBA game. Originally selected by the Houston Rockets with the 55th selection in this past June's NBA Draft, Flores ranked fifth in the NCAA in scoring last season by averaging 24.0 points per game as a senior at Manhattan.
