Hawks sign Jordan SibertThe Atlanta Hawks have signed guard Jordan Sibert, though as is the case with most signings around the league that have taken place in the last week or so, there's a good chance the agreement won't extend beyond preseason.

Sibert, listed at 6-foot-4, has summer league experience with the Hawks, playing for the team this summer. He put up nice stats in four games played: 14.8 points, 2.3 assists and 2.0 rebounds per game, in 24.1 minutes per outing.

He did play with the Hawks before, in one 2018-19 regular season game while signed to a 10-day contract. But his real experience is with the Erie BayHawks in the G League, where last season he put up 16.0 points, 4.6 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.4 steals in 32.0 minutes per game. He was among the G League's best in the three-pointers department.

Sibert played college hoops at Ohio State, then Dayton. As a Dayton senior he put up 16.1 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.7 steals per game.

NBA preseason began last week, though unfortunately the dominant story around the country and beyond right now has been preseason game-related issues in China.
