Heat trade Tyler Johnson, Wayne Ellington to Suns for Ryan Anderson

In a trade with the Miami Heat, the Phoenix Suns have acquired guard Tyler Johnson and guard Wayne Ellington. The Heat acquire forward Ryan Anderson.

Johnson in 44 games with the Heat this season averaged 10.8 points (42.6% FG and 35.3% 3FG), along with 2.8 rebounds and 2.5 assists in 44 games. He's in his 5th NBA season. His NBA career average is 11.0 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.5 assists per outing.

Ellington, now 31 and in his 10th NBA season, is averaging 8.4 points, 1.9 rebounds and 1.0 steals, including 2.3 three-point makes on 36.8 percent from long range in 25 games with the Heat this season.

Anderson received little playing time on the Suns, averaging 3.7 points and 3.0 rebounds in 15 games played.

The Heat are 25-27 this season, which is the 8th best record in the Eastern conference. The Suns are 11-45, for 15th in the West.
