NBA Fines James Harden For Ref CriticismThe NBA fined Houston Rockets guard James Harden guard $25,000 for public criticism of the officiating, the league announced today.

The comments that got Harden in trouble with the league wre made to the media after his squad lost 111-106 to the Lakers Thursday in Los Angeles.

According to the Houston Chronicle, here's what Harden said about NBA referee Scott Foster: "Last year in the post-season, in the Western Conference Finals, I think he officiated a couple of our games," Harden said. "It's lingering. It has to be looked at. For sure, it's personal. For sure. I don't think he should be able to officiate our games anymore, honestly."

The Rockets are 33-25 this season, 5th best in the Western conference. Harden is having an incredible season, averaging 36.5 points, 6.7 rebounds and 7.7 assists per game. He's a leading MVP candidate.
