The New Jersey Nets have named Kimberlee Garris to be their Entertainment and Event Coordinator, said Brett Yormark, CEO and President of Nets Sports & Entertainment.
Garris will be involved in coordinating the Nets' in-game entertainment and fan experience operations, including the video production, the dance team, music, lighting and the mascot, “Sly.” She will also help to coordinate the team's special events.
In addition, Garris will coordinate the selection of the Nets Dancers and choreographers and will supervise the dance team’s rehearsals.
Garris, a native of Pompton Plains, N.J., joins the Nets after spending the past two seasons as a member of the Knicks City Dancers. Garris will report to Petra Pope, the Senior Director of Entertainment Marketing.
“Kimberlee is creative, hardworking and a significant addition to our entertainment and event team," said Yormark. "She will be intensely involved in every aspect of the fan experience. We are truly fortunate to have Kimberlee join us as we continue our goal to be the best in class in all aspects of our organization."
Garris attended Harvard University, and was the captain of the school’s dance team.
