Bulls sign Randy Livingston to 10-day contract

| Mar. 22, 2006

Randy LivingstonThe Chicago Bulls today signed guard Randy Livingston to a 10-day contract.

Livingston, 6-4, 209-pounds, joins the Bulls via the Idaho Stampede of the CBA, where he appeared in 13 games (all starts) and produced averages of 15.5 ppg, 12.7 apg and 5.5 rpg in 39.1 mpg; he shot .410 from the field and .788 from the line.

Over the span of nine seasons, the 30-year-old guard has played in 194 NBA games for eight different teams. During that time, he has totaled 4.0 ppg, 2.1 apg and 1.4 rpg in 13.6 mpg. As a member of the Phoenix Suns during the 1999-2000 campaign, Livingston played in 79 games (15 starts) for Bulls Head Coach Scott Skiles and averaged 4.8 ppg, 2.2 apg and 1.6 rpg in 13.7 mpg.

After finishing his collegiate career at Louisiana State, he was selected with the 42nd pick in the second round of the 1996 NBA Draft by the Houston Rockets. His most recent stint in the NBA came last season, when he appeared in 17 games with the Utah Jazz.

InsideHoops.com Editor Says: It'll be tough for Livingston to stick. He's really just being signed to fill in for Chris Duhon, who is banged up and can use some time to heal.
