Bobcats: Sean May has successful surgery
Bobcats News | Sept. 14, 2005
Bobcats rookie forward Sean May underwent successful arthroscopic surgery on Tuesday to remove some damaged cartilage in his right knee.
"We are fortunate that this was a minor injury and caught early," said Bobcats General Managert and Head Coach Bernie Bickerstaff. "Sean has a great work ethic and we know he will work extremely hard to be back to 100 percent when the regular season begins."
The procedure was performed in Santa Monica, California, by Dr. Stephen Lombardo, with consultation from Bobcats team physician Dr. Glenn Perry.
“I am committed to doing whatever I have to do to be back on the court as quickly as possible because I am so excited to start my NBA career and to help the Charlotte Bobcats grow,” said May. “I feel I am in the best shape of my life and this will not keep me down.”
