Raptors trade Malachi Richardson to Sixers

In a trade with the Toronto Raptors, the Philadelphia 76ers have acquired Malachi Richardson, Torontoís 2022 second-round pick and the draft rights to Emir Preldzic. The Raptors receive cash considerations.

Richardson has played in 22 NBA games for Toronto this season and 12 games with the teamís G League affiliate, Raptors 905. In those G League games, Richardson averaged 20.8 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.4 assists in 35.2 minutes.

Now in his third NBA season, Richardson was originally drafted 22nd overall by Charlotte in the 2016 NBA Draft before being traded to the Kings.

Preldzic was drafted 57th overall by the Suns in the 2009 NBA Draft. He has played professionally since 2003 in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia and Turkey.
