The Toronto Raptors waived guard Lorenzo Brown today.
Brown, listed at 6-foot-5, 189 pounds, was a member of the Raptors for the last two seasons. In 2017-18 he played in 14 games, averaging 2.3 points in 9.9 minutes per outing. This season for the Raptors he appeared in 26 games, averaging 2.1 points in 8.2 minutes per game.

While with Toronto, Brown also did a stint in the G League, playing in 32 games with Raptors 905 during the 2017-18 season. And he was absolutely outstanding, proved himself a quality player, and won G League MVP of that season.
Brown's NBA career began in 2013-14 with the Suns. He then played for the Timberwolves, then the Suns again, leading into his two Raptors seasons.
As a guard, he needs to get his shooting percentage up. Brown's career FG percentage is 36.4%, and from three-point range it's just 17.0%.
The Raptors are currently an NBA-best 30-12 this season. They're 16-4 at home and 14-8 on the road. The team also just had a fantastic weekend, winning back-to-back games on Saturday and Sunday against top opponents with key players missing in each game, yet they came away with a pair of wins.
It's been a special season for the Raptors. But Brown will be moving on.
The Raptors roster now consists of 15 players.
