Clippers re-sign Zeljko Rebraca

The Los Angeles Clippers today re-signed free agent center Zeljko Rebraca to a multi-year contract, it was announced by Vice President of Basketball Operations Elgin Baylor.
A four-year NBA veteran, Rebraca averaged 5.8 points, 3.2 rebounds and 16.0 minutes in 58 games played for the Clippers in 2004-05. He also connected on 133-234 FG (.568) and 73-85 FT (.859) on the year.
“Zeljko did an excellent job for us in the low post last season,” said Baylor. “We look forward to him having a very good year for us, and we expect him to play an integral part in the success of our team.”
Rebraca has averaged 6.1 points, 3.4 rebounds and 15.4 minutes over his career, which includes two-plus seasons in Detroit and part of the 2003-04 season with the Atlanta Hawks.
A second round selection (54th overall) by Seattle in the 1994 NBA Draft, Rebraca came to the NBA after a standout professional career in Europe. His international career highlights include being named MVP of the 1998 World Championships in route to leading Yugoslavia to the championship as well as being a member of the Silver Medal winning 1996 Yugoslavian Olympic Men’s Basketball Team. Rebraca was also a member of the 1995 Yugoslavian National Team that won the World Championship in Athens.
