Raptors activate Jalen Rose
InsideHoops.com NBA News
The Toronto Raptors announced Sunday they have activated guard/forward Jalen Rose from the injured list and placed centre Robert Archibald on the injured list with a sore lower back. Rose had missed 16 games following surgery February 10 to repair a fracture of the fourth metacarpal in his left hand.
Rose’s injury occurred during the first quarter of the February 8 game at Golden State but he played the remainder of the contest. He had played in 286 consecutive games, which was the second longest streak among active players in the NBA. The streak started November 23, 2000 versus Toronto.
Rose is averaging 14.4 points, 4.7 assists and 37.0 minutes in 49 games this season. The 10-year veteran was acquired with forwards Donyell Marshall and Lonny Baxter from Chicago on December 1. In 33 games with Toronto, he is averaging 15.0 points, 5.3 assists and 38.8 minutes.
Archibald has averaged 1.2 points, 1.7 rebounds and 8.8 minutes in 25 games as a Raptor. He is eligible to rejoin the active roster for the March 24 contest at Houston.
