Jimmer Fredette returns to NBA, signs with SunsJimmer Fredette has returned to the NBA. Whether that return will last a long time, or be impactful in the form of minutes or buckets, remains to be seen.

Fredette spent most of the 2018-19 basketball season playing in China Shanghai Sharks. And he found success in the CBA, leading the entire league in scoring.

He now joins a 17-56 Suns team that is clearly focused on rebuilding for the future.

Fredette's stats in China were big. This season, he averaged 36.9 points in 43 gamess and hit a league-record 219 three-pointers.

Overall in China, over three seasons with Shanghai, he averaged 36.8 points per game and was an All-Star all three seasons.

In one CBA game, against the Fly Dragons (that's an awesome name for a team), Fredette scored 75 points, including 40 in the fourth quarter.

Fredette went 10th in the 2011 draft, and was included in a draft-night trade to the Kings.

Fredette will wear jersey No. 32 on the Suns, whose roster is now at 17 players.
