No Blake Griffin, yet Clippers winning
InsideHoops.com | Jan. 4, 2016
The Clippers lost three straight games heading into their Christmas Day win over the Lakers, and even that game felt like a loss, with All-Star forward Blake Griffin sustaining a partially torn left quad tendon. But Los Angeles has won its last five games without Griffin, thanks to a balanced effort and some rotation tweaks.
Center DeAndre Jordan has made 25 of his last 28 shots from the field. Guard J.J. Redick is averaging 20.0 points and shooting 65.5 percent from three-point range over his last five games. Guard Chris Paul has dished out at least 11 assists in four of his last five games. Guard Austin Rivers has topped the 20-point mark in two of his last three games. And center Cole Aldrich and guard Pablo Prigioni are getting a chance to play and they're producing.
The Clippers recently completed a 5-0 road trip, their first sweep of a trip of five games or more in franchise history.
