Julius Randle interview, pre-draft interview quotesThe following are some Julius Randle pre-draft interview quotes from Wednesday, one day before the 2014 NBA Draft. Randle played basketball at Kentucky, and is a highly-ranked draft prospect:

Question: Where do you think youíre going to get picked?

Julius Randle: I have no clue. Iíve gotten good feelings from teams, and Iím not going to say who, and I feel confident. But with these things you never know who may make trades. Trades up, trades down, you can never be 100 percent sure. A team can tell you they want you there but you can never be 100 percent sure. I donít put anything into it. Tomorrow I will go in with an open mind and wherever I go, I will be blessed regardless.

Question: What has this opportunity meant for you and your family?

Randle: It means a lot. Weíve been through a lot and theyíve seen all the hard work I put in and all that Iíve been through. Theyíre just excited for me and the time to come.

Question: What does being drafted into the NBA mean for you?

Randle: It means a lot. You grow up as a kid with a dream of maybe to play in college and maybe play varsity basketball in high school. As I got older my dreams kept getting bigger and bigger. I learned not to put a limit on things no matter what the situation is and thatís what I did. To be 24 hours away from a lifelong dream is pretty amazing to me. Itís pretty surreal and I still canít comprehend it all right now.

Question: How frustrating was it to deal with the reports that you needed foot surgery?

Randle: It was frustrating when I initially heard it but I could care less. I donít put anything into it. I know what teams are saying and whatís the deal and I have no idea how it got out there but itís something thatís out of my control.
