Kenny Smith reality TV show coming to TBS: The SmithsTBS has given the greenlight to a reality TV show called "The Smiths," a new unscripted series centering on NBA legend Kenny Smith and his wife, Gwendolyn Osborne-Smith, along with their five kids. Set to shoot in Los Angeles and Atlanta, The Smiths is being produced by Good Clean Fun, with Jason Carbone (The Bachelor, Tia and Tamera, Run's House), Nick Lee (The Bachelor, High School Reunion, Run's House), Jeff Altrock (The T.O. Show, Mac Miller and the Most Dope Family) and Kenny Smith serving as executive producers.

TBS has ordered six episodes of The Smiths, with plans to launch the series in spring 2015.

Here's the Kenny Smith reality TV show description from TBS: "With five kids ranging in age from age 2 to 20, a successful wife and an accomplished career both on and off the basketball court, Kenny has just about everything he needs to be considered the Coolest Dad on Earth – everything that is except the ability to impress his own kids. After all, he and Gwen are raising a family of all-stars. The older kids – Kayla, Monique and KJ – are excelling and have careers in music, sports and entertainment, and little Malloy and London prove daily that they are hot on the heels of their siblings."

It sounds like "The Smiths" on TBS will be like a zillion other family-focused reality shows. But since it's a basketball personality NBA fans all know, yes, we'll tune in -- at least in the beginning.

More about the show, from TBS:

Gwendolyn Osborne-Smith joined the long-running game show The Price is Right in 2005. She was born in Bath, United Kingdom, and comes from Jamaican and British ancestry. In addition to her role on The Price Is Right, she played Jade Dominguez for two seasons on the television show Ocean Ave. Other television credits include Charmed and Huff. Gwendolyn's feature film credits include Jack and Jill, Snow Dogs and Any Given Sunday. In addition to acting and modeling, Gwendolyn is a singer whose first studio album is currently in the works.

Gwendolyn and Kenny married in 2006. Their son, Malloy, was born in 2008, and their second child, London Olivia, was born in September 2012. The family also includes Kenny's daughter Kayla, his son KJ and Gwendolyn's daughter Monique.
