Kevin Durant undergoes foot surgery

Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant underwent successful surgery today, addressing a Jones fracture in his right foot, team Executive Vice President and General Manager Sam Presti announced.
And with this news, the NBA world must come to grips with the fact that we won't get to see KD play basketball in the near future.
The Thunder, Durant and his representatives jointly decided for surgery to be performed by Dr. Robert Anderson with Thunder medical personnel present at the OrthoCarolina Foot and Ankle Clinic in Charlotte, NC. Durant will be re-evaluated in six weeks, at which time a further update will be provided.
The 2013-14 NBA MVP appeared in two games during the 2014-15 preseason, averaging 11.5 points, 2.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.50 steals in 15.0 minutes.
It's now up to guard Russell Westbrook, forward Serge Ibaka and friends to carry the Thunder while Durant is out. An explosive talent often playing as effectively as any star in the league, Westbrook will have major responsibility at guiding the team in the coming weeks.
