Kings waive Alonzo Gee

The Sacramento Kings have waived guard-forward Alonzo Gee, according to Kings General Manager Pete D’Alessandro.
In 277 career NBA contests, the University of Alabama standout is averaging 7.9 points (.451 FG%, .329 3pt%, .773 FT%), 3.6 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 24.1 minutes per game.
Gee was recently acquired from the Houston Rockets along with Scotty Hopson and a pair of second-round draft picks in exchange for guard Jason Terry and a trade exception.
Training camps for the 2014-15 NBA season open in a matter of days. The first preseason game is on October 4 between the Miami Heat and New Orleans Pelicans.
