Chris Wilcox Interview

Forward Chris Wilcox is expected to be taken early first round of the 2002 NBA draft. We talked to Chris briefly at the 2002 draft media day. This is extremely brief, but Chris did say something interesting when asked what position he'd play for the Knicks. The questions asked are from various media members.

How does your game suit the NBA?

Chris Wilcox: I bring a lot of excitement to the game, and a lot of hard work in, just the little things that a lot of players don't do.

If the Knicks took you, where would you fit in?

Chris Wilcox: I'd probably be somewhere like 3, 4, somewhere like that, but I mean, wherever I can fit in, that's where I'm trying to play, it really doesn't matter, the position.

What teams other than the Knicks have been the most interested in you?

Chris Wilcox: I don't really know, I told my agents and stuff that I really didn't want to know a lot of the information, I wanted to be surprised when they call my name or whatever, so, I really didn't follow up on who was all on me and where I was going here, where I was going there, so, I'm just trying to leave it up to them and just hopefully I just make the best of the situation... Wherever I go, I'm just trying to help the team get better.
