The Detroit Pistons are only 28-44, but currently putting up wins, grabbing four straight victories, and enjoying terrific play from guard Reggie Jackson. Here's Michigan Live reporting:
The Detroit Pistons are on a roll, and Reggie Jackson is mounting a strong candidacy for something no player for the team has done in more than five years.
Jackson had his second triple-double in just more than a week and the Pistons beat the Orlando Magic 111-97 on Friday, their fourth consecutive win.
The Pistons' second-longest win streak of the season is exceeded only by their seven-game streak in late December and January, and keeps their faint playoff hopes alive with 10 games remaining.
Jackson had 26 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists, and is mounting a formidable campaign to become the NBA Eastern Conference Player of the Week. Those awards are based on Monday-through-Sunday performances, so Jackson still has one game remaining Sunday at Miami before the award is given.
