Suns add Earl Barron, Joe Jackson, Casey Prather, Jamil Wilson to training campThe Phoenix Suns today announced they have signed veteran center Earl Barron and rookies guard Joe Jackson, guard/forward Casey Prather and forward Jamil Wilson, bringing the club’s roster to 18 players.

Barron, who played with the Suns during the 2010-11 season, is a seven-year NBA veteran who last played with New York in the 2012-13 season. In 124 career games with Miami, New York, Phoenix, Milwaukee, Portland, Golden State and Washington, Barron has averaged 4.9 points and 3.7 rebounds. Barron previously signed with the Suns on Nov. 16, 2010, and averaged 3.0 points and 3.3 rebounds in 12 games (six starts) with the club.

Jackson had a standout four-year career at the University of Memphis where he averaged 12.1 points, 4.1 assists, 2.8 rebounds and 1.36 steals in 139 games 2010-14. Jackson finished his career as one of two players in Memphis history to have at least 1,500 points (1,687), 500 assists (564) and 175 steals (189) with former Suns guard Elliot Perry being the other.

Prather culminated a four-year career at the University of Florida by leading the team with a scoring average of 12.8 points during the 2013-14 season. Prather earned Wooden All-American and All-SEC First Team honors while helping the Gators to a 36-3 record and Final Four appearance.

Wilson played three seasons at Marquette University, averaging career-highs of 11.7 points and 5.9 rebounds as a senior in 2013-14. After transferring to Marquette following one season at the University of Oregon, Wilson averaged 9.4 points and 5.0 rebounds in his three seasons with the Golden Eagles.
