2008 NBA Pre-Draft Camp Rosters

| May 27-30, 2008

The 2008 NBA Pre-draft camp rosters give a good indication as to who the NBA feels are the top prospects in the upcoming NBA Draft. The 2008 pre-draft camp is in Orlando, Florida from May 27-30 and features drills and games, plus official measurements taken of player heights, weights, etc. InsideHoops.com is in Orlando and will provide full coverage of every aspect of the camp.

Generally, players that think they are "locks" to be taken in the first round of the Draft tend to pass on playing in the NBA Pre-Draft camp and just come to take a physical and get their height/weight/etc. measured. The NBA wishes this wasn't the case, but that's how it is. What's often surprising is that bunches of players that are merely considered bubble players and could easily fall to the second round often don't play. It's a tough decision. But good players often feel they have more to lose than to gain by playing, because just a few bad games may cause NBA teams to think twice about taking them. That really isn't the case, though. Teams place far more importance on how a player did over the entire college season than on 2-3 days worth of games on teams where the players don't even know each other and the coaches have no time to help any real teamwork develop.
