The 2008 Prime Time Shootout high school basketball event will feature 16 of the top 25 teams in the country, including Oak Hill Academy, who finished the 2007 season ranked #1 in the United States by USA Today. Also in this year's PrimeTime Shootout touranment are some of New Jersey’s finest basketball programs, including St. Anthony’s, St. Patrick’s and St. Benedict’s, all of whom will be playing at Rutgers University on Friday, February 8th, 2008.

GENERAL PRIME TIME SHOOTOUT SCHEDULE

The full 2008 Prime Time Shootout schedule will be posted below, but the general schedule is as follows:

Jan. 19: Five games in Atlanta, GA (at Norcross High School).
Feb. 1: Four games in Philadelphia, PA (at Pavilion at Villanova University)
Feb. 8: Four games in New Brunswick, NJ (at RAC, Rutgers University)
Feb. 9: eight games in Trenton, NJ (at Sovereign Bank Arena )
Feb. 10: eight games in Trenton, NJ (at Sovereign Bank Arena )


PRIME TIME SHOOTOUT HISTORY

Originally a regional invitational basketball tournament, the PrimeTime Shootout has grown into a fairly national event, with just a few game locations, but involving many of the best high school teams in the country.

Some famous NBA players who played in the PrimeTime Shootout: LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony, Jay Williams, Al Harrington, Tyson Chandler, Dwight Howard, Sebastian Telfair, Josh Smith, Ben Gordon, Luol Deng, J.R. Smith, Andrew Bynum and Monta Ellis.
