Kurt Thomas out 4-6 weeks with elbow injury
InsideHoops.com NewsWire | Jan. 16, 2007
Phoenix Suns center Kurt Thomas will be sidelined approximately four to six weeks due to a left elbow subluxation injury suffered in the first quarter of last night’s game at Memphis.
The 6-9, 235-pound center, who was examined today by Suns team physician Tom Carter, will wear a brace that will control motion of the elbow during healing.
Currently in his 12th NBA season, Thomas is averaging 5.7 points and 5.7 rebounds in 18.4 minutes in 37 games (four starts) this season. The 34-year-old is shooting a career-best 53.9 percent from the field in 2006-07.
