SNOOP DOGG'S FATHER HOOD
Dec. 10, 2007
Knowing full well that the show would be ridiculous and awful, I tuned in to the series premiere of Snoop Dogg's Father Hood, a new show on the E! network. Now, we all know that lots of reality shows are idiotic, but in a fun way. You know you're watching idiots, and that's the fun of it.
In this case, though, I felt brain cells dying with each minute I watched. Not in a good way. Just a "this is the most friggin' retarded crap I've ever seen" way.
The house needed to be clean. Snoop needed to get a blood test. And the kids all seem mentally retarded. There's my summary. I gave up half-way through.
Judging by this episode, the family has a combined IQ of about 92.
I'll check the second episode to see if it somehow gets better -- doubtful, though -- and I'll let you know.
OLDER STUFF
Jan. 12, 2007: The new season of 24 starts tomorrow. What's wild is, the first four episodes of the new season were apparently leaked on the internet, and a key plot development was already revealed. No, of course I'm not going to spoil anything. But it sounds pretty amazing.
Dec. 25, 2006: The new Nas album, "hip hop is dead," is good, but not great. My personal favorite is actually the title track. A bunch of tracks are filler. But it's still a hot album.
Nov. 5, 2006: Jay-Z returned, and the album "Kingdom Come" is really good. It's similar to The Black Album. But not quite as great. The songs I recommend from it are "Oh My God," "Kingdom Come," "SHow me what you got" (which got major radio play, and had to grow on me a bit before liking it), Lost Ones (also took a while to grow on me), and "Beach Chair" (the type of song I wish more rap music sounded like).
Oct. 30, 2006: I need to see the new Borat movie. It has potential to be one of the funniest comedies ever. Wikipedia says: "Borat has a younger brother Bilo who is mentally ill. The reason for this, Borat says is, "He once have a demon that live in his head so we open his head and place a dry fish inside to eat the demon, but the demon become angry and make Bilo a retard."

June 5, 2006: Last night I watched the season finale of The Sopranos, and as was the case with that show all season long, I was disappointed. There was no real cliff-hanger. Almost no action. And the actual plots, and sub-plots, aren't well-written and aren't too interesting. I watched all season, because it's The Sopranos. And I admit I'll probably watch every single episode of the "Final Eight" next year. But the show this season was slow-moving, not fascinating, and at times, just plain silly.
May 23, 2006: The season finale of "24" on Fox was as good as expected. That show just flat-out rocks. Every segment has a new major plot development. It never slows down. And the finale didn't disappoint.
May 4, 2006: Lil Wayne "Tha Carter II" is one of the best rap albums I've heard in years. The production is great. The flow is dope. THe music, the sounds. It's classic.
